Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original, high-quality, and unpublished research articles, review papers, and case studies in the field of engineering and technology. To ensure a smooth and efficient review and publication process, please carefully follow the guidelines below:
1. Manuscript Preparation
Format: Manuscripts must be prepared in English using MS Word (DOC or DOCX format) and formatted for A4 size paper (21.0 cm × 29.7 cm).
Font and Style:
Font: Times New Roman, Size: 12 pt
Line spacing: 1.5
Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
Justified alignment for all paragraphs
Length: The manuscript should typically not exceed 20 pages, including figures, tables, and references.
2. Structure of the Manuscript
Each manuscript should include the following sections:
Title Page: Title of the paper, full names of authors, affiliations, email addresses, and the corresponding author clearly marked.
Abstract: A concise summary (max 300 words) without references or equations.
Keywords: 4–6 relevant keywords.
Introduction: Background, motivation, and objective of the work.
Methodology: Detailed description of methods, materials, and procedures used.
Results and Discussion: Key findings, analysis, and their significance.
Conclusion: Summary of results and their implications.

References: Use APA. Ensure all citations are complete and accurate.
3. Figures and Tables
Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially and referred to within the text.
Captions should be placed below figures and above tables.
All images must be of high resolution (300 dpi or higher).
Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any copyrighted material.
4. Plagiarism Policy
All submissions will be screened for plagiarism using reliable detection tools. Manuscripts with significant overlap (more than 10%) with previously published work will be rejected without review.
5. AI / Generative-AI Policy:
ECI An International Journal supports the responsible use of AI tools while upholding research integrity and originality. Authors may use AI for minor language assistance such as grammar correction or translation, but they remain fully responsible for verifying all content and ensuring accuracy, originality, and proper citations. Any substantive use of AI—such as text generation, data analysis, coding, figure creation, or literature summarization—must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript, stating the tool used and its purpose. AI tools cannot be listed as authors, nor can they generate core ideas, interpretations, or results without human oversight. Fabrication, plagiarism, or undisclosed AI-generated content will lead to rejection or retraction.
The journal recognises that generative AI tools (such as large language models, image-generation models, data/figure generation tools) may assist authors, but emphasises that human authorship, accountability, integrity, and originality remain paramount.
Authors must disclose use of any generative AI tool in the cover letter and in the manuscript (e.g., in the Acknowledgements or Methods section). The disclosure should specify the tool name and version, how it was used (e.g., drafting text, summarising literature, generating figure), and which sections of the manuscript were affected.
Generative AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors; only human individuals may assume authorship responsibility.
The contribution of generative AI to the core content of the manuscript (text, figures, tables, code, data) must not exceed 20% of the final submitted manuscript. Authors must certify the approximate percentage at submission. The editor may request additional information or revision if the AI contribution appears excessive or lacks transparency.
Permitted use that is exempt from the “20%” limit includes: minor grammar/checking, language polishing, formatting assistance, reference‐management support. These uses still require disclosure.
Uses that are strictly prohibited (unless special justification is provided and approved) include: generation of synthetic data with no methodological justification, autonomous or unsupervised generation of key results, figures or tables without human oversight, use of AI tools to replace fundamental scholarly reasoning or originality.
Authors remain fully responsible for all content, including AI-generated parts: verifying accuracy, avoiding plagiarism or fabrication, ensuring proper citations and integrity.
Failure to comply with this policy may result in editorial actions: rejection of manuscript, request for revision, or withdrawal of accepted article. Undisclosed or inappropriate use of AI may be considered misconduct and will be handled under the journal’s ethical policies.
This policy applies to all submissions from 21-10-2025, and will be reviewed periodically as AI technologies and scholarly norms evolve.
6. Submission Process
Submit your manuscript through the official submission portal or Online submission
Include a cover letter stating the title, type of manuscript, and confirmation that the work is original and not under review elsewhere.
Manuscripts must be submitted in editable format (.doc or .docx only).
7. Review and Publication
All submitted papers undergo a double-blind peer-review process.
The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks.
After acceptance, authors will receive proofs for final correction before publication.
Published articles will be available in open-access format on the journal website.
8. Article Processing Charges (APC)
There is no publication or submission fee to authors for publishing their articles in Engineering Convergence and Innovation (ECI) An International Journal. But for publishing the special issues of conferences, there will be nominal processing fee which can be paid by the organizers.
9. Ethical Guidelines
Authors must adhere to ethical standards in publishing. Any conflict of interest, financial support, or use of human/animal subjects must be clearly stated.
